Bean Box Espresso opened its first location in Mitchell, SD on Dec 26th 2005.  It was a "One Woman" show created out of a NEED of a job AND good coffee!  The concept of a "Drive-Thru" coffee and espresso bar was conceived on the west coast and had not made it's way to South Dakota yet. It didn't take long to catch on and they never looked back! Soon after opening the first location, a second was opened.  Bean Box Espresso proudly served the Mitchell area for over 6 years!

In 2011, one of the little kiosks was loaded on a semi and relocated to Northern Illinois, LaSalle/Peru area where they turned on the" OPEN" sign on February 20, 2012. Again, Drive-Thru espresso was a novelty at the time, but it didn't take long before the "Illinois Valley" folks caught on and welcomed BBE with open arms and a NEED for good ESPRESSO!  In order to meet the "supply and demand" of the Illinois Valley,  a second BEAN BOX ESPRESSO was opened in Sprin Valley, Illinois on September 17, 2018.  Being a small privately owned business meant the WHOLE family was involved in one way or another, and soon a THIRD location was added to the lineup. BEAN BOX ESPRESSO - SOUTH DAKOTA opened in Chamberlain on February 10, 2021.
